A landmark release from one of Islay’s most distinctive distilleries is up for grabs.

Bruichladdich 18 Year Old Re/Define is the first permanent 18-year-old single malt to join the distillery’s range. Created entirely from whisky distilled following Bruichladdich’s reopening in 2001, it represents a true coming of age for the revived distillery.

Made using a combination of Islay-grown, organic and Scottish mainland barley, every cask and barley variety used in the whisky is fully traceable. It was matured on Islay predominantly in bourbon casks, with carefully selected Sauternes and Port casks adding extra layers of fruit and richness.

Bottled at a robust 50% ABV without chill filtration or added colour, this is a rich and characterful single malt. Expect bright citrus, green apple and ripe pear on the nose, followed by creamy toffee, lemon curd, fresh peach, toasted almonds and honeyed malt. The finish is long and gently coastal, with salted caramel and lingering fruit.

The striking packaging also reflects Bruichladdich’s commitment to sustainability. The lighter bottle is made using an average of 60% recycled glass, while the sculpted outer packaging is produced from fully recyclable paper pulp.
